What is your value?

Nearly all of us have heard the mathematical breakdown of a woman's value if she were paid for all of the tasks she does on a daily basis. Have you ever read that final number and thought, there is no way I'm worth that. Somebody would be crazy to pay me that kind of money! Unfortunately, many of us have not been raised to celebrate our value.

Most of us have been fortunate enough to have had caregivers who loved us and wanted the best for our lives. However, somewhere along the way they failed to teach us just how valuable we are. Yes, VALUE-ABLE. I think it's no coincidence that those two words are a team.

Until recently in my tapestry of life I settled for less than my creators intentions. Briefly I will tell you that I accepted two abusive marriages (one physical and one verbal), poverty, and endless strife around every corner. Have you ever noticed how one bad circumstance seems to create a spiral effect? Maybe that's because we don't see ourselves as ABLE to get out.

My point is that until you see that you are of VALUE you will not see yourself as ABLE to change your circumstances. I know, many of you will disagree stating that you do like yourself. Yes, I am sure you do. I always liked myself too. It is that very thing that gave me the strength to dig out of the pit my life had become. With no job and four children I left with nothing because I KNEW that my children and I deserved a better life. Seven years later I am happier than ever. I finally met someone who showed me that I am valuable and able to accomplish anything that I desire. Without that person I am not sure where I would be today.

Perhaps there is someone in your life that you can help to see their VALUE. A child, a friend, even an acquaintance, who could use your encouraging words? Or maybe it's YOU who needs to realize that you are VALUE-ABLE. You are a true gift, one of a kind. Just think about your creation, one egg and thousands of little swimmers with only one winner. It happened to be YOU that beat the odds from the very beginning! You are marvelous in His sight! Know it, accept it, have faith and BELIEVE it. Once you begin to truly feel your VALUE from the inside you will be ABLE to do all things you put your mind to!
